◆PROVENANCE STUDIO
For issuers of commemorative banknotes

A banknote your customers can prove is theirs

Today a commemorative note comes with a paper certificate: easy to copy, and it records no owner. Add a digital certificate and every note can be proven genuine and registered to its buyer. Nothing changes on the note itself.

Example edition: 100 Dollars, a commemorative note dedicated to Rocky Balboa · City of Philadelphia 1976 · Series 2023 · © & TM MGM

Ownership registered to them

By name, in a register that cannot be altered: the blockchain. The owner decides who can see it. Until a note is claimed, it is held by Provenance Studio.

What it takes from you

Nothing changes in your print run. Provenance Studio supplies the certificate and the sealed folder, registers every serial number and runs the register.

An ordinary commemorative issue ends at the sale. A connected note begins there.

Unbox it

Break the seal, open it, take out the certificate. Then you are ready to claim.

Sealed

The band carries the serial number. An unbroken band means the claim code inside has never been seen.

Seal broken

On the back: the limited edition of 1,976, the QR to the digital twin and the MGM licence. The note itself stays untouched.

Open

The certificate sits in four corner mounts, the note in a clear window below it.

Certificate in hand, front

How to claim: the QR to the digital twin, three steps and the scratch panel with the claim code.

Certificate, back

Authenticity and edition: licence, date of issue, hologram and issuer signature.

How it works: scan, claim, register. Owner and benefits

Walk through what a new owner does in the two minutes after opening the folder. Everything below is a simulation with demo data.

1

Scan the QR

The QR on the certificate opens the note's digital twin. Anyone can see whether the note is authentic and whether it has been claimed.

2

Claim with your code

Scratch the panel and enter the single-use claim code. The code is matched to the serial number and then retired.

3

Ownership moves on-chain

The token registered at issue is transferred from Provenance Studio to the new owner. Provenance stays intact, forever.

4

Be a proud owner

Your account is your membership of The Rocky Society: exclusive content, invitations and partner benefits, for as long as you hold the note.

On the table next to your phone: the certificate.

Selling or gifting the note? Generate a transfer code and hand it over with the note and certificate. Ownership and membership move the moment the new owner activates.

Why this works for an issuer

Provable authenticity

Anyone can scan and see, from the public register, that a note is genuine, who printed it and whether it is claimed. Counterfeits have no twin.

A relationship, not a sale

Every claimed note is an opt-in owner in a lasting register. The issuer can reach them again: new editions, events, stories.

Resale without losing provenance

The owner hands over a transfer code with the note. Ownership and membership move, the history stays.

Measurable engagement

Claims, countries, content opened, benefits used. Within privacy rules, engagement becomes a number instead of a guess.

“Issued once. Yours forever.”
